To the Congress of Free Trade Unions (CFTU), and the trade union movement, ASUU expresses condolence for the loss of Comrade Engr. Sanni Stephen, Treasurer, CFTU . To the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANMW), and the labour movement and the NLC ASUU expresses condolence for the loss of Comrade Linus Sabulu, President of NANMW and Chairman NLC Committee on Occupational Health and Safety. To Action Aid, Global call to Action Against Poverty and Civil Society Coalition on Education for All, and the entire Civil Society Organizations/Community ASUU conveys condolence for the loss of John Moru, Justice Egware, and Chinumba Egbe. ASUU Commiserates with the entire family of Mrs. Stella Obasanjo, especially President Olusegun Obasanjo, for her unfortunate departure on October 23, 2005. ASUU urges the rulers of Nigeria to reflect deeply on the immediate and ultimate, deeper causes of the disastrous losses of the past two weeks. The situation is a challenge to our rulers to dedicate themselves to working with the confidence of the Nigerian people to work out and implement policies, such that will realize the aspirations of Nigerian for a society where there will be adequate care for the well-being of all advanced and accessible health and educational institutions, security of life and justice for every one.
